It started in 1979 when one of my school mates asked me if I wanted to try out flytying, so that’s the beginning of my career as a fly tier. The first few bugs were trout flies but soon after I started tying salmon flies. In 1982 I started fishing salmon in River Gaula , a river I still fish with passion 40 years later. I enjoy tying classic salmon flies as well as Catskill and modern trout flies.

In 2021 I finished The Gloppen Hotel Collection, consisting of 62 individually framed classic salmon flies, its the largest public Collection in Norway.
